Barton resident crashes through Lyndonville's Central Restaurant, killing unsuspecting Concord man.
Driver's brakes fail, crashes through Central Restaurant, causes a man’s heart attack which leads to his death.


While driving southbound in her 1999 Chevrolet on Depot St. in Lyndonville, VT, suspect Annie Coulter, age 82, lost the use of her brakes and smashed through the front of Central Restaurant today at 12:31pm.

Coulter claims to have been swerving from hitting another pedestrian when her brakes failed and she crashed through the restaurant. John Barker, age 59, was enjoying a meal when he saw the vehicle come through the building. Barker quickly tried to help the injured driver from her vehicle. Barker had received minor injuries from flying glass, and soon after, collapsed complaining of chest pains, and died of a heart attack.
